Cast iron inserts, with a square opening with tiled surround were common fireplace inserts for the Victorian and Edwardian eras. Ornateness and detailing of the insert depended on original location of the fireplace, and style of the surround.

We provide a selection of salvaged original, or reproduction tiles. Typically, when restoring a cast iron fireplace, we would repair and rebuild the existing tile panel, or refurbish with original tiles.

We can match inserts with a suitable marble, stone or cast iron mantelpiece, complete with slate hearth.
